4.2.4 Ethnic Minorities
The rich variety of the ethnic minority population in the South East adds a further dimension. Leaders in various communities in Southampton, Portsmouth, Thanet and the Eastern coastal strip and the Thames Valley have made considerable strides in providing support and assistance. It is evident that the dedicated business support facilities that exist in these areas have been working above and beyond the expectations of their remit. Unfortunately this has resulted in a dedicated support not being recorded and incorporated into good practice by providers as it invariably provided by goodwill without financial provision.

All of the groups cross with each other but the added dimension of cultural, diversity and religious differences adds complex issues. Usually provision has to come from within the culture of the community but this has the unfortunate affect of not supporting integration into the community.
